The short answer

Settings > Team > Approval Flow. Set who renders (juniors), who reviews (seniors), who publishes (account leads). Each render moves through Review → Approve → Publish.

The default flow

  1. Junior renders. Creates a render via the Home screen. Hits "Submit for Review" instead of "Publish."
  2. Senior reviews. Gets a notification. Opens the approval queue. Swipes right to approve, left to reject with note.
  3. Account lead publishes (optional layer). For high-value clients: account lead has final sign-off before publish.

How to configure

  1. Settings > Team > Roles.
  2. Assign each team member a role: junior, senior, account lead, admin.
  3. Settings > Team > Approval Flow > pick which roles approve and in what order.
  4. Set per-brand SLA. Default: senior reviews within 4 hours, account lead within 24 hours.

Per-brand customization

Some clients require a third review (client-side). Toggle "Client Review" per brand. The client gets a magic link to preview + approve renders before they publish.

Notifications

Every approval state change triggers a Slack message + email + in-app notification. Configure per team member: Settings > Notifications.

Common pitfalls

  • Bottleneck at senior review. If a senior is on vacation, set up a delegate in Settings > Team.
  • Client review delays. Set a default approval window (e.g., 48 hours). Auto-approve after the window expires per client agreement.
